Bargain Shopping Haul

I'm probably not alone when I say I love sales, discounts and bargains when shopping. One store I like to go to every now and then is the boots clearance store. As the name says it's basically a big boots store with discounted items. This store can be very hit and miss, sometimes I'll go in and find lots of things I like other times there'll be nothing worth looking at. If I know I need a new item from boots, like soap and glory products, I always try to come here first. A while ago I made a visit here and I managed to get all of this for just £30.

I picked up a few soap and glory products which had great discounts. Slim Wear £1  and Scrub your nose in it £3. I've repurchased Scrub your nose in it in the past after loving the product so I picked up another back up for when I run out. I've never used Slim Wear so hopefully I will love this too!

I then got this body exfoliator Sugar Crush, I've never used this until now and I love the lime smell it's really nice fresh and fruity. I think this is the old packaging too so it might look different in stores now. This was £2.

The other 2 soap and glory products were Mighty Mouth and Return to Slender. I've used Mighty Mouth before and think it's great for putting in your handbag to keep lips hydrated. Return to slender is a new one for me so hoping it's as good as the rest.

The christmas cards were 50p so I picked those up (everything was bought before Christmas) and the 17 eyeshadow and blush were 75p each. Never used this brand before so for this price I thought I'd try it out. I love blue eyeshadow and the blush was a nice neutral shade.

The harajuku perfume was £3 so I picked it up, it's only a 10ml bottle but I really loved the smell. It's the G summer scent so I'll probably be using this in the summer. The small size also means it's great for when I travel.

The Lancome palette was the biggest spend at £15, which was about half price. I think the original price was £30/£35. I'll probably do a separate post on this, but the colours were a matte black and some greys/silvers.

For anyone wondering where the boots store is, it's the one in Beckton so if you're ever in the area or live in London you can take a trip out if interested.

So, what did I get for christmas?

I know Christmas has been and gone for a while now, but better late than never right? I'll make it quick because I'll probably talk about a lot of these things in their separate posts. All these photos were taken on my iphone so sorry for the picture quality.

Lots of Ted Baker stuff:

A few of the DVDS I got: I love James Bond, Family Guy and Comic Books lol

 Books and Nail Polish!

From my bf I got an Imagineering book which I've been looking at for a while now and I also got a fragrance sampler from Sephora, I ended up choosing the Dot by Marc Jacobs for my free full size perfume :)

I got this top which I really like because it kind of matches the design of some of the Ted Baker stuff

Some Benefit Makeup items, I'm glad I got the I'm glam therefore I am set over any others, just because I feel like the Benefit gift sets repeat themselves all the time, it seems only the packaging changes and I don't own anything in this one

Some more bath and hair stuff:

I got this beautiful Dior keyring with a lip gloss duo inside, how pretty!

And Finally, my favourite gift that I received. A red bag with skulls on, I'd seen this in a local store and fell in love with it!

Soap and Glory Skin Care: Scrub Your Nose In It

I first tried this face scrub back in december 2010 when boots were offering a soap and glory gift set for half price. My first tube lasted me about 7/8 months and for some reason I held off re-purchasing it. I recently bought a new one about a month or so ago. In october/november last year my face started breaking out quite badly and I started trying out different products in the hopes that they'd clear my skin. Eventually none of them did and I finally decided to buy scrub your nose in it. I'm glad that I finally decided to repurchase this as it is probably one of my holy grail products. It sells for £7.40 in boots and for this price and the amount of time it lasts for I think it's a great buy. Since using this again my face has really cleared. On the front it states "helps refine large pores and prevent blemishes" and I would completely agree with this. I do not break out with this product and use it almost daily. It also says that it can be used as a face mask, just leave the product on for 3 minutes longer for "an oil-absorbing brightening pore cleansing mask". I have always had trouble with acne and clogged pores and this works wonders for my face. I notice that it gets to work almost immediately and really does give a deep clean. You only need to apply a pea-sized amount of this, a little goes a long way. One thing I really love is the smell, it's not quite a mint smell but very similar and just smells very clean. You may experience a tingling feeling when using this but I don't mind this as it isn't very intense.None of soap and glory products are tested on animals either so this would be a good brand to look into if you are against animal testing.

Have you ever tried Scub your nose in it? What do you think of soap and glory products? Do you have any favourite skin care products?
